Each artist will be provided with a base in the city as their arts field. 【Job Description】
[A] Open Call Project "Social Dive" Manager
1. Overall management of the Open Call Project "Social Dive"
・Planning and operation of the open call project, recruitment, and applicant correspondence
・Providing various support to artists (e.g., logistical arrangements, introductions)
・Managing the development of art projects by artists in Chiba City
・As needed, assisting with public relations tasks, including drafting and translating (Japanese-English) documents for international and domestic press, disseminating information, and responding to inquiries
2. Team building and task delegation within the team
3. Project budget management
[B] International Coordinator (Responsible for the Open Call "Social Dive")
1. Tasks related to the Open Call Project "Social Dive" Category 1: International Artist Open Call
・Planning and operation of the open call project, responding to inquiries from applicants
・Providing care and various support to international artists upon their arrival in Japan
・Managing the development of art projects by international artists in Chiba City
・As needed, assisting with public relations tasks, including translating (Japanese-English) documents for international press, disseminating information, and responding to inquiries.
2. Team building and task delegation within the team
3. Project budget management
<Common Duties for [A] and [B]>
1. Information sharing and smooth communication between various departments of the art festival
2. Attendance at various meetings
3. Liaison and coordination with the Chiba City Arts Triennale Executive Committee Secretariat (within the Culture Promotion Division, Citizen's Culture and Sports Department, Chiba City)
4. Collaboration with the General Director and Command A on the planning and production of the art festival
5. Cooperation in the creation of the art festival archive
【Work Location】
Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, and other office work in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo
【Qualifications】
<Basic Requirements>
・For both [A] and [B] positions, English proficiency (conversation, business emails, etc.) is required.
・Business-level Japanese proficiency is required due to the need for collaboration with Chiba City and local communities.
・Must be able to work in Chiba City and at the Command A office (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).
・Ability to fully understand one's role in the practical art field and respond flexibly.
・Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
・Good health, physical stamina, and a proactive attitude towards taking on challenges.
・Ability to write proposals and other documents in Japanese.
・PC skills (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Google products, etc.)
<Preferred Qualifications>
・Current resident, student, employee, or otherwise connected to Chiba City.
・Experience in coordination, art management, and artist support within art projects, such as artist residencies. (Please include relevant project experience in your resume.)
・Experience in project management and coordination, regardless of industry.
・Knowledge of contemporary art and ability to coordinate related activities.
・Experience working in a museum, art center, or gallery.
・Basic knowledge of creative fields, particularly contemporary art.
・PC skills (Illustrator / Photoshop)
【Contract Type】
Independent Contractor Agreement
【Contract Period】
[A] February 3, 2025 to March 31, 2025 (If contract is renewed: April 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025)
[B] April 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025
*Contracts for cultural projects with Chiba City are on an annual basis.
*For both positions, candidates who can start work earlier than the indicated contract start date are preferred.
*There is a possibility of contract extension until March 31, 2026, at the latest, for report writing and other tasks after the main exhibition period of the "Chiba City Arts Triennale 2025."
【Number of Positions Available】

[B] 2 positions
【Working Hours】
5 days a week (target)
*Work on weekends may be required depending on event schedules.
*As this is an independent contractor agreement, you will be responsible for managing your own break times, etc.
<Regarding Secretariat Operating Hours>
・2 days off per week
・Core time / 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM *Days and hours may vary depending on the work.
【Holidays】
Secretariat holidays are "Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays." However, this may not always be the case due to the art festival period, related events, and preparation. In principle, there will be two days off per week, with adjustments made during the exhibition period and around meetings.
【Contract Fee / Monthly】
[A] JPY 290,000 (tax included) and above
[B] JPY 210,000 (tax included) and above
*For individuals, payment will be made after deducting withholding tax.
*Transportation expenses are not provided.
【Recruitment Schedule】

3. Second Screening (In-person Interview): Scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, 2025 (planned to be held in Tokyo)
