Tadasu Takamine

Artist / Director. Born in Kagoshima in 1968 and currently lives in Tokyo. Graduated Kyoto City University of Arts and International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences (Gifu). Main solo exhibitions include: “Too Far to See” (round exhibition – Yokohama Museum of Art / Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art / Kirishima Open-Air Museum, 2011), “Big Rest – Gardening for Tomorrow 1095 m2” (sendai mediatheque, 2008), “Super Capacitors” (Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art, 2010), “Tadasu Takamine’s Cool Japan” (Art Tower Mito, 2012), etc. He exhibited many of his works in group exhibitions at home and abroad including several international exhibitions such as Venezia Biennale (2003), Busan Biennale (2004), Yokohama Triennale (2005), Asia Pacific Triennale (2013), etc. He performed in Dumb Type (an artist group of Kyoto City University of Arts students) and has deeply related to theatrical productions. He has done many joint productions with other genres. Currently Professor of Sculpture Course, Tama Art University.
