Salon des indépendants (Art Independent Exhibition)
This project will hold an exhibition from September to November 2025, in which all people who live, work, or study in Chiba City are welcomed to exhibit their works.
There will be no judging of the works , as long as they meet the application requirements, they can exhibit any genre or format, including painting, sculpture, photography, drama, calligraphy, etc. The aim of this project is to create a community where everyone can value their own expression, demonstrate their creativity in the community, and have “freedom” through art.
In the pre-event period in 2024, “Teachers’ Salon des indépendants Exhibition,” was held for “teachers” (including former teachers) who have been involved in the field of education and teaching, and 159 works by 56 individuals (groups) were exhibited. In the main event in 2025, we will expand on this idea by inviting a wide range of artworks as a project in which all residents of Chiba City (living, working, and attending school), regardless of age or nationality, can participate.
We hope that bringing together the works of participants with diverse backgrounds and perspectives will create new connections among citizens.
