“Advertisement”

This is an art project using the wall of a fire station as a canvas as a challenge to question the border between advertisement and art. The idea begins with focusing on the relationship between “advertisement” and “warning” in public space. It is an awareness-raising campaign made by Yanai, who has worked in the field of advertisement and design for a long time. By using images with a visual impact taken by the artist himself and a catch phrase, the project not only calls for attention but tries to raise an alarm on the way information should be used in modern society.
It is an experimental project to reconsider how warning and spreading information act on each other in society and how public advertisement should be used as an art.
